BETWEEN CLASSICAL ART AND SCIENCE

 Page en français

Geneva UnderCover is originally a cultural magazine created by Celina Kosinski in autumn 2009, in a prodigious town house that has preserved its character of the 19th century, located in the heart of the banking district in Geneva. Inlaid meandering alleys, lined with ancient paintings and books, stairs connecting landscapes of antiques and sculpted busts, sets of doors rhythm the world of a musician, an artist, a historian, a filmmaker. Territories in creative effusion overlook the Geneva financial platform then destabilized by the economic crisis. Geneva UnderCover is born of the collision of these two diametrically opposed microcosms and released its first edition.

In 2012 the magazine is accepted by the art and archeology scientific library of the City of Geneva, therefore Geneva UnderCover Paper Magazine integrated the Network of university and state libraries of Western Switzerland. The magazine was a great success during our collaboration with the firm Exclusive Arts SA in Geneva, when each edition was sent to more than a thousand of copies.

Well anchored in the RERO network, Geneva UnderCover became in 2014 a platform about earth and environmental sciences for university students. In autumn 2015, Geneva UnderCover gets its first academic references on the sustainable development website of the University of Geneva (IS@DD) and on Julien Goy’s professional blog, a scientific collaborator at the Environmental Sciences Institute of the University of Geneva. Geneva UnderCover was also listed on the website of the former Geneva Association of Students for Sustainable Development (AGEDD).

Since 2017, Geneva UnderCover remains a professional blog. After serving as a commercial tool in the cultural business, then an academical platform for university articles, the blog is a part of a professional website featuring articles on environmental, natural and historical heritage themes.
